In terms of the General Safety Regulations of the Occupational
Health & Safety Act, our training associate and matter specialist,
John Hambleton of Frontline Emergency Care has been approved by the
Chief Inspector of the Department of Labour to issue valid
First Aid “Certificates of Competency” to those who
satisfactorily complete the training.
|
While
SETA accreditation is not a legal requirement, our trainers have presented these non
unit standard aligned courses over the past 20 years. As one of the oldest Health
& Safety training providers in South Africa, we focus on the
Occupational Health & Safety Act and "best-practice". Compliance by all is
paramount. "Certificates of Attendance" will be
issued to all who complete the training.

In addition to specialist competency training the Act and
Regulations require that:
All
Employees
including contractors and casuals must be informed, instructed
& trained in the dangers, hazards & risks at work.
All Supervisors
to
be trained to manage Health & Safety in their area.
All Managers
to
understand the requirements of the Act and Regulations and trained
to implement and manage their Health &
Safety systems.
Health
& Safety Reps
must be trained to perform their duties.
First
Aiders
to be in possession of
a valid Certificate of Competency.
Fire Teams
to be
skilled in prevention, protection and reaction.
