General
duties of employers and self-employed persons to persons other than their
employees
(1) Every employer shall conduct his undertaking in such a manner as to
ensure, as far as is reasonably practicable, that persons other than those
in his employment who may be directly affected by his activities are not
thereby exposed to hazards to their health or safety.

interactive DVD is designed for VISITORS
who
will be on your premises for no longer than a day or so at the most, but
who will be exposed to risks, hazards and dangers that exist in your
workplace. The content of this DVD is purposefully short but
comprehensive. VISITOR
induction
should take no longer than five minutes to complete, causing minimal delay
or inconvenience.

VISITOR
DVD should not be used
for full or part time employees, casual labourers, contractors or anyone who
will be on your premises for an extended period of time. Such people
will need a full, site specific induction process. Use the INDUCTOR
for that purpose.

A rationale, methodology and 10 point induction questionnaire accompanies
each DVD and should be distributed to those receiving, hosting or accompanying
visitors or guests "persons
other than employees"
within your organisation.
